A heat-insulating and sound-absorbing glass-fiber object (1) which comprises a sound-absorbing layer (2) and a sound-insulating layer (3) that are molded glass-fiber articles, wherein the sound-absorbing layer (2) has a thickness of 5-30 mm and a density of 20-100 kg/m³ due to glass fibers having a diameter of 3-5 µm, and the sound-insulating layer (3) has a thickness of 3-10 mm and a density of 40-180 kg/m³ due to glass fibers having a diameter of 5-7 µm.
