EPDG IDENTIFICATION TECHNIQUES FOR ROUTING IMS EMERGENCY CALLS

ePDG identification techniques for routing IMS emergency calls are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise at least one memory and logic, at least a portion of which is implemented in circuitry coupled to the at least one memory, the logic to detect an initiation of an emergency call at a roaming user equipment (UE) possessing 5 wireless connectivity with a wireless local area network (WLAN), send, via the WLAN, a first message comprising one or more location indication parameters, and receive a second message comprising one or more public land mobile network (PLMN) identifiers (IDs) in response to the first message.
