Provided is a process method for synthesizing polybutylene succinate using bio-organic guanidine catalysis. The distinctive feature of the present invention is: bio-organic guanidine creatinine or guanine generated by metabolism in the human body is used as the primary catalyst constituting a highly effective quaternary catalytic system, the synthesis process comprising: (1) succinic acid, 1,4-butanediol, and a bio-organic guanidine catalyst are placed into a reactor and undergo an esterification reaction for 2-3 hours at 180°C-200°C at atmospheric pressure until no water comes out; (2) adding a promoter, adjusting the absolute pressure of the reaction system to 0.5-3 torr, and performing a polycondensation reaction for 20-30 hours at 210°C-230°C to obtain a product. The beneficial features of the present invention are: (1) a quaternary catalytic system is employed, catalysis is highly efficient, and the amount of catalyst used is small; (2) the present process significantly reduces the degradation side reaction occurring during synthesis; (3) the synthesis of the polymer may be controlled according to actual requirements so that its molecular weight is within a range of 1.4-1.7×105.
