摘要

The present invention relates to an image tracking technology and, more specifically, relates to a method to predict a location of a real target using location information of a feature point when blocking occurs while a single shape information of a target is tracked to obtain a stable tracking performance in an image with low shape information level. A method to use the feature point to increase a performance of a correlation tracker comprises: (a) a step of template-matching a target image with an input image; (b) a step of calculating correlations and target pixel numbers in a target area; (c) a step of determining whether a target is blocked using the calculated correlations; (d) a step of determining whether the target is partially or totally blocked; and (e) a step of adjusting a real target tracking window of the target area.
