The present invention relates to a radiation shield and contamination prevention apparatus for the nozzle pipe of a retired steam generator and a method thereof. Particularly, the present invention relates to an apparatus which safely stores a retired steam generator operated in a nuclear power plant, seals the nozzle part of the retired steam generator, and prevents the leakage of contaminated radiation materials from the inside of the steam generator to the outside through a nozzle.
