The present invention relates to a bone density diagnosis apparatus and method using the dispersion noise of a medical image to measure bone density by using a noise included in a medical image and to diagnose various kinds of bone diseases therefrom. The method may include a step of detecting an object region which is a photographed skeletal structure of a person by analyzing the medical image; a step of selecting a region located in a predetermined distance from the edge of the object region as a peripheral region; a step of detecting a noise value for the peripheral region; and a step of changing the degree of noise into bone density, in reference to information on a correlation between the noise value and the bone density.
