The present invention relates to a pin hole detection method. When winding an enamel coil wire, the wire is wound on a stator at a high speed. A pin hole (damage to an insulation sheath) created while winding the wire is difficult to detect with naked eyes. Therefore, a high positive voltage of DC 500 V is applied to an enamel coil starting line of a bobbin on which the enamel coil is wound, and a high negative voltage is applied to a nozzle portion (a metal body) of a winding device through which the enamel coil wire passes to allow an electric current to flow in a portion of the enamel coil wire where the sheath is damaged. Also, the present invention relates to a pin hole detector. When winding the enamel coil wire with the winding device, the coil wire is wound on the stator core at a high speed, and thus a pin hole is impossible to detect with naked eyes. The pin hole detector applies a high voltage to the enamel coil wire passing at a high speed to amplify a very short high voltage signal coming from a portion where a pin hole is created with a high speed operational amplifier, and then passes the signal through a filter to remove noise to count a number of pin holes.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
