THE RADIATION THERAPY AND DIAGNOSIS DEVICE USING PROTON BORON FUSION REACTION

The present invention relates to radiation therapy and a diagnosis device using a proton boron nuclear reaction, which irradiates a proton to boron (B) captured in tumor tissue and allows three alpha () particles, released by the proton boron nuclear reaction, and a radiation dose of the proton to enter the tumor tissue. Since a tumor region is treated by the three particles, the present invention has more excellent treatment effect than a conventional boron neutron capture therapy by a single particle. Also, the present invention can treat a patient at a much lower dosage rate of radiation than the conventional proton therapy, thereby relieving exposure of the patient.
