Provided are a buoyancy-type movable weir structure and a method for controlling a water level of reserved river water using the same. The buoyancy-type movable weir structure blocks the flow of water and stores a considerable quantity of the water flowing down from the upper reaches of a river, as a main body of a weir rises by buoyancy and a weir part is exposed above the water in the case of an ordinary water level, In the case of a flood water level, the buoyancy-type movable weir structure introduces the water into the main body and causes the main body of the weir to sink and the weir part not to be exposed above the water, thereby allowing the flow of water to smoothly flow downstream. The present invention includes a buried container (20) and a movable weir (10) moving up and down by buoyancy, wherein the movable weir (10) includes a vertical body (16) and a lower body (17), and has an internal space (14). The buried container (20) includes a water level sensor (202) for measuring a water level of water directly under a weir, and a passage control valve (201). If a measured water level directly down the weir is less than a lower bound value, the passage control valve (201) is closed to elevate the movable weir (10) with the buoyancy of the water stored in the buried container (20) so that the vertical body (16) blocks the flow of water. If the measured water level directly down the weir is greater than an upper bound value, the internal space (14) of the movable weir (10) is filled with the water and the movable weir (10) descends. If the measured water level directly down the weir is less than the upper bound value, the movable weir (10) is elevated again.
