According to the present invention, an image processing method for performing an integrated multi-scale retinex in a Commission Internationale de L′Eclairage (CIE) Lab color space comprises the following steps: receiving image information to convert a red, green, and blue (RGB) color space into a CIELAB color space; improving luminance by using a kernel which reflects the color difference of a central pixel and a peripheral pixel with respect to a channel from the image information of the CIELAB color space; adjusting chroma in proportion to the improvement of the luminance; and converting the image information adjusted with the chroma into an RGB color space.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
