The present invention relates to a cooling system and a cooling method of superconducting equipment for an arctic ship, which do not require an additional cooling device by using cryogenic LNG stored in an LNG storage tank as a coolant of refrigerants circulating to cool superconducting equipment, obtains a spatial advantage to install equipment in a ship, and reduces the maintenance costs of the cooling system to maintain the critical temperature of superconducting equipment. The cooling system of superconducting equipment for an arctic ship comprises a first refrigerant line where LNG supplied from the LNG storage tank circulates; a second refrigerant line where refrigerants to cool a high-temperature superconducting generator and a high-temperature superconducting motor circulate; and a heat exchanger which transfers heat from the first refrigerant line to the refrigerants in the second refrigerant line.
