The present invention relates to a system for editing a digital catalog using a PDF file, capable of making a supplier easily edit a PDF formatted catalog that effectively expresses information on a screen and making a catalog user effectively recognize emphasized information. More particularly, the present invention provides a system for editing a digital catalog using a PDF file, comprising: a load unit for loading a digital catalog consisting of at least one page by page; an area selection unit for setting up a selected area in a partial area of the selected page; a first layer generation unit for generating a first layer that is inserted into the size and position corresponding to the selected area; an extraction unit for extracting a selected image of a part on a loaded page corresponding to the selected area; a second layer generation unit operated on a background of the first layer in the selected area for generating a second layer that includes a plurality of dynamic images based on the selected image; an effect control unit for controlling a dynamic effect of the second layer; and a storage unit for storing information of the selected area, first layer and second layer. Therefore, editing and supply of a digital catalog capable of simply maximizing visual effects of the catalog by a supplier are possible.
