The present invention relates to a level measurement system for a pressure vessel capable of accurately measuring a level of a pressure vessel by receiving an inner pressure, a pressure of a lower part, and a temperature of the pressure vessel from a composite transmitter receiving the inner pressure of the pressure vessel from a pressure transmitter and applying a specific gravity in accordance with the temperature; and a level measurement method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the level measurement system for the pressure vessel comprises: the pressure transmitter installed in an upper end of the pressure vessel storing a liquid and sensing and transmitting the inner pressure of the pressure vessel; the composite transmitter installed in a lower end of the pressure vessel, sensing and transmitting the pressure of the lower part and the temperature in the pressure vessel, and transmitting the inner pressure received from the pressure transmitter; and an integrated control and safety system (ICSS) measuring the level of the pressure vessel using the specific gravity in accordance with the temperature and pressure difference between the lower pressure and the inner pressure received from the composite transmitter.
