The present invention relates to a predictive power-saving water purifier and a predictive power-saving method of a water purifier. The predictive power-saving water purifier comprises: a motion detection unit for detecting a start of water purifier motion; a memory unit for storing the starting time of the motion detected by the motion detection unit; a count unit which counts an elapsed time period from the start time of the motion; and an motion control unit for controlling the water purifier motion when the elapsed time period exceeds a predictive motion time period. Electricity is saved by controlling the water purifier motion depending on usage patterns of the water purifier by a user and thus reducing unnecessary motion of the water purifier.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
