According to the present invention, a control method can be relatively simple and can effectively prevent occurrence and recurrence of a voltage reversal phenomenon by controlling auxiliary current flowing out from an auxiliary anode electrode by connecting the auxiliary anode electrode in parallel and using an external resistance. In addition, the method of the present invention can improve a range of the resistance to optimally drive a system of a serially connected microbial fuel cell (MFC). The method of the present invention is a method for equally increasing voltage without an external auxiliary device, which has higher voltage of the serially connected MFC than that of the existing method. Accordingly, the method of the present invention helps to apply an MFC technology to a massive waste water treatment process by generating practically usable electricity by increasing voltage of multi-electrode MFC.
