It is a scanning booth with a user interface. The interface receives a user identification or registration data and provides a command prompt that allows the user to assume various predefined locations, stances, and postures. The image data of each posture is captured using the scanning device in the booth. Dimensional avatar is generated based on the mapping or morphing of the image data to the generic avatar model. Data from the generated model is sent to the server and stored in a database for subsequent applications, e.g., clothing size, display or fitting, or health monitoring.
