The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an ultra thin heat pipe which comprises: a thin metal plate supply step of supplying a thin metal plate; a photosensitive material attachment step of attaching a thin film photosensitive material to one surface of the supplied thin metal plate in a solid film type; an exposure step of exposing a predetermined uneven surface shape in the photosensitive material in the attachment step; a development step of selectively eliminating the photosensitive material exposed in the exposure step or a non-exposure photosensitive material from the thin metal plate; and a plating step of plating the one surface of the thin metal plate developed and exposed in the development step with a thickness of maximum 300 micrometer or thinner to form an uneven surface on the one surface of the thin metal plate. A wick structure and arrangement of various section shapes are easily realized in mass.
