摘要

A method and an apparatus for calculating the accuracy of location measurement by using log information based on a global positioning system (GPS) and wireless communications are disclosed. The method and the apparatus calculate reference parameters by each region using accumulated log information based on a GPS and wireless communications, and calculate positioning error range information using the reference parameters and the number of access points (AP) having signal strength which is greater than or equal to a preset threshold, when location measurement is performed using only a wireless communication (for example, wireless LAN) signal. Therefore, an error range that may occur in performing location measurement based on wireless LAN may be accurately calculated.
