The present invention relates to a gold nanorod-coupled titania nanotube and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a gold nanorod-coupled titania nanotube, and to a method for manufacturing a gold nanorod-coated titania nanotube. The method comprises the following steps: forming a titania nanotube layer on the surface of a titanium material; substituting a SH group on the surface of the titania nanotube layer; and coupling the gold nanorod to the SH group on the surface of the titania nanotube. The method is capable of preventing unnecessary administration, and minimizing side effects due to unnecessary administration, by discharging drugs during a desired period for the desired time.
