Disclosed are an apparatus having a situation-adaptive position-adjustable table plate and a method for adjusting a position of a table plate according to a situation. The apparatus having a situation-adaptive position-adjustable table plate comprises: a table plate which functions as a work table on which a user performs work, and is supported by at least one support unit; a situation information generation unit to use at least one among a physical condition of the user, a work environment of the user, and work information about the work performed by the user to generate situation information about a current situation of the user; a table plate position determination unit to receive the situation information and determine a position including a height and a slope of the table plate according to the received situation information; and a table plate position adjustment unit to control a length of the support unit according to the determined position to adjust the position of the table plate. According to the present invention, since a height of a table is automatically adjusted based on the physical condition and work condition of the user, multiple risk factors caused by a sitting position are eliminated, and work efficiency of the user is improved.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
