Provided is a method of providing trend information using an open application program interface (API) performed by a composition of a main server (130), a web server (110) providing tag information when a connection is established via an Internet network (30), and a subscriber terminal (140) requesting trend information from the main server (130) after logging on via the Internet network (30). The method of providing trend information using an open API includes: a preparation step (S0) of searching, by the main server (130), for consumer needs and trends with a keyword and the number of tags by using the open API according to a request by the subscriber terminal (140); a first step (S10) of storing, by the main server, data searched in the preparation step (S0) after scanning the same according to the keyword and design, consumer, market and technology fields associated with the number of tags; and a second step (S20) of displaying, by the main server, a result obtained in the first step (S10) in a separate frame form on a display screen to allow a subscriber to check the trend information that he/she wants.
