Disclosed are an apparatus for recommending a pharmacy based on a prescription estimate and a method thereof. The apparatus for recommending a pharmacy based on a prescription estimate comprises: an interface unit, interlinked with a bar-code scan within a prescription of a mobile terminal, for receiving bar-code information from the mobile terminal and extracting prescription drug information from the received bar-code information; and a processor for requesting an estimate including the prescription drug information, thereby obtaining prescription-filling cost information on the prescription drug information from the mobile terminal and providing the mobile terminal with a list of pharmacies written by considering the prescription-filling cost information.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
