According to an embodiment of the present invention, a polarization-maintaining saturable absorber based pulse laser comprises: a polarization-maintaining saturable absorbing unit which forms one section of a laser resonator, a closed loop shaped optical waveguide, and is an asymmetric optical waveguide; and a wavelength division multiplexing optical coupling unit for providing light generated from a pump light source to the inside of the laser resonator. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the polarization-maintaining saturable absorber has a structure that a saturable absorbing special material is coated on the asymmetric optical waveguide. Therefore, the pulse laser can maintain polarization characteristics of the pulse laser, thereby stably outputting laser.
