The present invention relates to a composition for cough relief or discharge of phlegm, containing a mixed extract of Lonicera japonica Thunb., Scutellaria baicalensis, Adenophora triphylla, and Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma as active ingredients. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for cough relief or discharge of phlegm, containing a mixed extract of Lonicera japonica Thunb., Scutellaria baicalensis, Adenophora triphylla, and Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma as active ingredients, wherein 5-10 parts by weight of Lonicera japonica Thunb., 0.5-1.5 parts by weight of Scutellaria baicalensis, 0.5-1.5 parts by weight of Adenophora triphylla, and 0.5-1.5 parts by weight of Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma are mixed, and the extract is extracted using ethanol or an ethanol solvent containing 3% acetic acid.
