The present invention relates to an artificial island structure for algae control, which has an excellent landscape effect and is environmentally friendly. According to the present invention, provided is an artificial island structure for algae control, comprising: a body in which a space portion accommodating a member for planting of a plant is formed; a buoyant member which comes into contact with an outer circumferential surface of the body, and supports the body so that the body floats on the water; a fastening member which fastens the body and the buoyant member to each other; and an algae removal layer which is located on the bottom of the body and comes into contact with the water, wherein the algae removal layer comprises 100 parts by weight of an algae remover, 10-30 parts by weight of starch and 15-50 parts by weight of biodegradable polymer; the algae remover comprises one or more among haulm, plum seeds, cypress and chestnut shells; and the biodegradable polymer comprises one or more among polylactic acid, polyglycolic acid, polycaprolactone, polyhydroxyalkanoate, polyethylene succinate and polybutylene succinate.
