The purpose of an embodiment of the present invention is to accurately and easily perform a hydraulic test on a reactor vessel specimen made of a material identical to a material constituting the reactor vessel and improve the reliability of the specimen test result through the accurate hydraulic test. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the reactor vessel specimen test apparatus comprises: a base plate; a body unit which extends to an upper portion of the base plate, accommodates a specimen tube provided with a reactor vessel specimen and subjected to a hydraulic test, and includes an injection unit formed at a lower side thereof such that a fluid is injected into the body unit; and a cover unit which is detachably installed at an upper portion of the body unit and includes an air outlet so as to discharge remaining air after the fluid is injected into the body unit. The method of testing the reactor vessel specimen comprises the steps of: moving the specimen test apparatus to a position where the hydraulic test is to be performed on the specimen tube provided with the reactor vessel specimen; injecting the fluid into the body unit of the specimen test apparatus in which the test tube is placed; discharging the remaining air in the body unit after the fluid is injected into the body unit; performing the hydraulic test on the specimen tube by pressurizing the body unit at predetermined pressure after discharging the remaining air in the body unit; and verifying the presence or absence of defects in the specimen tube after the pressurizing of the body unit is completed.
