SYSTEM FOR SHUTTING OFF NEGLECTED POWER USING SMART PHONE AND METHOD THEREOF

A system to cut off standby power using a smartphone and a method thereof are provided. The system comprises: a motion sensor to sense whether a human exists; and a smartphone configured to remotely control an electronic device, to determine whether a state in which the human is not sensed by the motion sensor and a sound is not sensed by the sound sensor continues for a specific period of time, and to cut off the power of the electronic device in a space in which the motion sensor is prepared if the state continues for more than the specific period of time. According to the system to cut off standby power using the smartphone and the method thereof, the system and method thereof have effects of saving electricity by sensing whether the human exists and cutting off the standby power of the peripheral electronic device using the smartphone if the human does not exist for a specific period of time. Also, the system has effects of saving standby power of the consolidated remote controller by cutting off the power if there is no input to the peripheral device using the smartphone for a preset time.
