The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a service providing method based on a priority. The service providing method digitizes the priority with a user; and provides a service for assigning the priority when the user requests a search or an alarm. After designating a group based on information related to a telephone; and measuring the priority which represents a contact number with the user based on one among the designated group, call information, and mobile messenger use information and related information connected to the telephone, the present invention outputs service related data to a screen based on the measured priority.
