The present invention relates to a field map measuring method for quantifying fat in a high magnetic field magnetic resonance image. The field map measuring method for quantifying fat in a high magnetic field magnetic resonance image comprises the steps of: acquiring raw data based on echo images acquired in at least three different phases (-π/6, π/2, 7π/6), and calculating a field map using the raw data; acquiring a general slope distribution of the measured field map, and clustering regions based on distributions of vectors having homogeneous characteristics to determine a correction area; correcting the field map by considering similarity within the field map in the correction area; post-processing the field map to improve homogeneity; and separating finally corrected water and fat from each other to obtain separated images of water and fat. According to the field map measuring method for quantifying fat in a high magnetic field magnetic resonance image, correction is performed while searching for the similarity among inner structures of the field map based on a multiple-area growth schema, such that correction can be performed while maintaining a shape of inner structures (organs). Therefore, the field map can be efficiently measured even in a high magnetic field.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
