APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING CORRECTION BAR FOR CHEST WALL DEFORMITY SURGERY

The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming a correction bar for chest wall deformity surgery and a correction method using the same. According to the present invention, the apparatus for forming a correction bar comprises: a video receiver for receiving chest CT images of the chest of a patient from a CT scanner; a 3D graphic module for analyzing the chest CT images received by the video receiver, thereby creating a bar 3D model corresponding to the 3D shape of a correction bar for correcting chest wall deformity of the patient; and a 3D printer for outputting a correction bar on the basis of the bar 3D model created by the 3D graphic module. Therefore, the shape of the correction bar, which is suitable for the shape of the chest wall deformity of the patient, is automatically formed through a 3D program using the CT images, and thus a correction bar having a shape suitable for the shape of the chest wall deformity of the patient can be formed easily.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
