The present invention relates to a method to automatically forecast a typhoon surge using an active data collection script and a numerical model which automatically forecasts the typhoon surge using a hydrodynamic model like an advanced circulation (ADCIRC) model simulating a tide and a storm surge, and an active processing program constructed with a script like Perl or Python. The method of the present invention simulates the tide in real-time by operating the hydrodynamic model repetitively at regular times. At the same time, the active processing program actively reads a typhoon information by accessing a typhoon forecasting and warning institution like a joint typhoon warning center (JTWC) of the United States of America, and adds the typhoon information to input information of the hydrodynamic model by judging forecasting required of the typhoon surge based on the read-out typhoon information. By the same, the method performs real-time automatic simulation of seawater flow by considering the influence of the typhoon, and is able to forecast a time and position of a height of the typhoon surge in accordance with thereto. Through the present invention, the influence of tide and typhoon can complexly be applied in a numerical simulation of the seawater flow; thereby the method precisely and rapidly being able to forecast the typhoon surge, and being able to improve surge forecasting and warning effect.
