BOOKCASES CONNECTION REINFORCEMENT AND BOOKS FALL PREVENTION DEVICE FOR SEISMIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT

The present invention relates to a bookcase connection reinforcement and book fall prevention apparatus to improve anti-seismic reinforcement performance comprising: an insertion member having a back plate, two side plates and an open front to be inserted into an accommodation section of a book shelf; a widthwise bar formed in the front of the two side plates to be vertically elevating; a tong unit formed in an upper end of the two plates and having a dent unit to be inserted into an upper latch of the book shelf; and a support bar extended from the tong unit to support another shelf facing the book shelf. As such, an apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention improves anti-seismic reinforcement performance of a university library building by providing an effective customized anti-seismic reinforcement structure to non-structure members preventing fall of books accommodated in the book shelf in case of an earthquake.
