Disclosed are a system for providing a distributed multimedia streaming service and an operating method thereof. The operating method according to an embodiment includes a step of dividing content data into blocks with a predetermined size, a step of duplicating the divided blocks and generating duplicated blocks by predetermined number, and a step of distributing the duplicated blocks to data nodes. So, the content data and the data nodes can be restored when the loss of the content data and the data nodes is generated.
