AN INTERFACE CONFIGURATION METHOD OF A SMART DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING ELETRONIC DEVICES

The present invention relates to a method of setting a control interface of a smart terminal to control an electronic device, capable of creating a mapping system of mapping each input function of the smart terminal with each control signal of the electronic device and outputting an input of the smart terminal in the form of a control signal of the electronic device through the mapping system so that the smart terminal such as a smart phone can be utilized as an input device of another electronic device. The method includes the steps of: (a) setting input functions to be used as the control interface in the smart terminal, and a communication function of the smart terminal which transmits the control signal to the electronic device by an apparatus for setting the interface; (b) receiving data for a control command of the electronic device and the control signal of the electronic device by the apparatus for setting the interface; (c) creating a virtual controller inputted to a touch screen of the smart terminal and a screen image of the virtual controller by the apparatus for setting the interface; (e) allowing an interface emulator to receive the virtual controller through a downloading scheme; and (f) allowing the interface emulator to output an input of the smart terminal in the form of an output signal of the electronic device through the virtual controller. Through the above scheme, a general purpose interface is provided to the smart terminal to control electronic devices, such as smart TVs, set-top boxes, game players for TV connection, and automotive electronic devices. Accordingly, various electronic devices can be remotely controlled by one smart terminal.
