SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MEASURING A FREE SPECTRAL RANGE OF A FABRY-PEROT ETALON

Disclosed are a system and a method for precisely measuring a free spectral range of a Fabry-Perot Etalon (FPE). The system for measuring a free spectral range comprises: a PM modulation unit modulating a CW laser performing scanning with a low frequency wave, and applying the CW laser into the Fabry-Perot Etalon (FPE); a light detector detecting a reflective signal reflected by the Fabry-Perot Etalon or a transmission signal passing through the Fabry-Perot Etalon in accordance with the application; and an FSR measuring unit measuring a free spectral range (FSR) of the Fabry-Perot Etalon using the detection result and a modulation signal used for the PM modulation.
