The present invention relates to a congestion control method in a large scale crop managing system based on a wireless sensor network. The congestion control method in a large scale crop managing system based on a wireless sensor network according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized in comprising: a congestion sensing process in which a congestion status is sensed by using a packet service time (t_s) and an arrival time (t_a) between packets; a congestion notifying process in which congestion status-related information sensed in the congestion sensing process is delivered to neighbor nodes; and a congestion control process in which a packet generation period is adjusted according to the congestion status-related information.
