The present invention relates to a manganese-based oxide catalyst having high resistance to SO_2 for removing nitrogen oxide (NO_x), and a preparation method thereof. The manganese-based oxide catalyst has excellent activity for removing nitrogen oxide (NO_x) at low temperatures of 150 to 250°C, and has remarkable resistance to SO_2. The preparation method of the manganese-based oxide catalyst comprises the steps of: forming a gel by heating a mixture solution of manganese salt, copper salt, cobalt salt, base, and water; aging the resultant product at high temperature under high pressure; and quenching the product by injecting a large quantity of distilled water at room temperature while returning the pressure to normal atmosphere.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
