METHOD FOR MEASURING VIRTUAL MACHINE PERFORMANCE IN CLOUD COMPUTING SYSTEM

The purpose of the present invention is to focus on an initial virtual machine arrangement in a public cloud providing infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), such as Amazon EC2. In addition, the purpose of the present invention is to accurately and real-time measure the performance in a physical machine as a foundation technology for an interference control of a virtual machine when an online initial virtual machine is arranged in a public IaaS cloud environment. The measuring method of a virtual machine performance in a cloud computing system, according to the present invention, estimates the current performance of physical machines in the cloud, aside from application in a virtual machine in real-time and the type of virtual machine use, and predicts a performance when a virtual machine is added in the current condition. In addition, due to the corresponding measuring information, interference between virtual machines is controlled when online initial virtual machines are arranged in the public IaaS cloud. An approach based on power and an approach based on application service quality can solve trade off.
