A device for modeling a surrounding environment comprises: a surrounding environment modeling unit for preliminary modeling a surrounding environment on the basis of an around view obtained through a plurality of cameras; a three-dimensional image receiving unit for receiving a three-dimensional image through a three-dimensional camera for photographing a particular direction; and an image matching unit for matching the received three-dimensional image with the preliminarily modeled surrounding environment. Accordingly, the device for modeling a surrounding environment may match a three-dimensional image by classifying a step of treating large capacity data and a step of treating data with respect to the three-dimensional image.
