Provided is a smartphone-based absenteeism and tardiness management service. In order to provide employee absenteeism and tardiness management service using a smartphone in a small workplace or a workplace without a PC, the smartphone-based absenteeism and tardiness management service includes the steps of: having a wireless communications unit of a mobile device carried by a user search for a wireless communications modem in a workplace when the user is in the workplace; comparing a unique identification number of the searched wireless communications modem with a unique reference identification number which is previously stored in the mobile device of the user; and confirming that the user is present at the workplace if the two identification numbers are equal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
