The present invention relates to a method for predicting the risk of lymph node metastasis in a subject suffering from solitary papillary thyroid cancer, comprising the steps of: obtaining the ultrasonographic images of the thyroid gland of the subject in an axial direction and a longitudinal direction; dividing the image in the axial direction into a front part (A), a middle part (M) and a rear part (P); dividing the image in the longitudinal direction into an upper part (S), a middle part (M) and a lower part (I); checking in which region among the division regions in the thyroid gland solitary papillary thyroid cancer is placed; and predicting the risk of lymph node metastasis with respect to the position of the checked solitary papillary thyroid cancer. According to the present invention, the surgery method of the solitary papillary thyroid cancer can be determined by using the result of the prediction.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
