The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory pharmaceutical composition comprising a fermented extract of Artemisia argyi, and to a health functional food for alleviating the inflammation. According to the present invention, the fermented extract of Artemisia argyi contained as an active ingredient inhibits the expression or the synthesis of a substance for inducing or mediating an inflammatory reaction.
