The present invention relates to a nanoenergetic material composite which is used with azide-based sodium azide (NaN_3)/nanoenergetic material (nEMs) to reduce internal pressure when gas is generated and effectively control a gas generation time, a gas burning rate, and temperatures, and to a gas generator for thermal ignition thereof. An azide-based material used for a reaction material for generating gas and the nEMs used for a heat energy source for making the azide-based material thermally react are mixed and compose a composite powder, and the composite powder generates gas while decomposing microparticles of the azide-based material used for a reaction material by heat energy generated by ignition and explosion.
