The present invention relates to a method for coating metal on a non-conductive fiber. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing a metal plated fiber by continuously applying an electroless plating method and an electroplating method, a metal plated fiber produced by the method, and a fiber-applied filter. According to the present invention, the method for producing the metal plated fiber comprises the following steps: (i) etching a surface of the fiber; (ii) polishing the surface of the fiber; (iii) activating the fiber by attaching a first metal thereto; (iv) carrying out a electroless plating for forming a second metal seed; (v) and forming a third metal layer after carrying out electroplating. According to the present invention, it is possible to solve a problem associated with metal attachment to fibrous tissues.
