According to the present invention, a system for evaluating a risk of electric power equipment comprises: an asset database to store data of the electric power equipment by constructing a database using the data of the electric power equipment; a risk evaluation unit to evaluate the risk by using the data of the electric power equipment from the asset database, to calculate an evaluation index for each evaluation item, to apply a corresponding weight to each calculated evaluation index, and to collect all evaluation indices to which weights are applied, and to calculate a comprehensive risk evaluation index; a decision-making unit to make a decision on maintenance and repair for the electric power equipment based on a risk evaluation result by the risk evaluation unit; a work scheduling unit to schedule maintenance and repair work for the electric power equipment according to the maintenance and repair decision made by the decision-making unit; an issue item input unit to input technical, economical, or social issues; and a weight control unit to temporarily control a weight for the corresponding evaluation index among the evaluation indices according to the technical, economical, or social issues if the issues are inputted through the issue item input unit. According to the present invention, the risk of the electric power equipment is evaluated by more easily reflecting the issues by temporarily controlling the weight according to the technical, economical, or social issues, when evaluating the risk of the electric power equipment.
