The present invention relates to zeolite for treating nuclides and a method for treating nuclides using the same. The zeolite for treating nuclides according to the present invention allows effective separation or isolation of nuclides, cesium and iodine, from an aqueous system. Thus, when cesium and iodine emitted by nuclear generating station accidents or the like are introduced into water and cause contamination, contaminants, such as cesium and iodine, can be separated from the aqueous system to solve a water contamination problem. Therefore, when the zeolite for treating nuclides according to the present invention is used for treating nuclides, such as cesium and iodine, it is possible to prevent contamination of sea and water caused by nuclear generating station accidents and to protect the ecosystem in the sea or water effectively. In addition, when using the zeolite for purifying contaminated water such as nuclear generating station water after nuclear power generation, it is possible to purify nuclear generating station water from radioactive contamination.
