The present invention relates to separation of a homogeneous catalyst from a reaction mixture generated by organophilic nano-filtration. The present invention relates to a method for economically using the organophilic nano-filtration to filter the homogeneous catalyst from the reaction mixture when a separation-activation material of membrane satisfying separation work is not enough or the separation-activation material of the membrane is expensive. The method for economically using the organophilic nano-filtration is achieved by considering a specific membrane performance index when a membrane separation process is designed and/or is performed.
