The present invention relates to a multi-waveform impulse generator for surge protective device performance evaluation for a signal and, more specifically, to a multi-waveform impulse generator for surge protective device performance evaluation for a signal which measures a surge protective limit voltage by using an impulse test device to determine the deterioration of performance and the appropriateness of the performance and configures an existing high voltage transformer and a test power charging device of a rectifier type by an insulation type converter of an SMPS type so as to reduce a volume and a weight of an existing test device to increase portability and convenience of use.
