The present invention relates to a transmitting method using a variable coding rate and a variable spreading code in a transmitting apparatus of a mobile communication system. The transmitting method includes a step of determining a coding rate according to a remaining power amount, a step of determining a spreading rate according to the remaining power amount, a step of encoding transmitting data at the determined coding rate, a step of generating the encoded transmitting data as a frame, a step of diffusing the generated frame to the determined spreading rate, and a step of wirelessly transmitting the diffused frame. So, diffusion/inverse diffusion functions and channel coding can be more stably operated.
