The present invention provides a direct current negative electrode electrolytic composition capable of forming a metallic material having a lubricating film excellent in lubricity and chemical resistance after degreasing. The composition for direct current negative electrode electrolysis of the present invention comprises at least one kind of metal ion or complex (A) selected from the group consisting of divalent or more valent metal ions (excluding zinc ions) and rare earth element ions, (B) containing a carboxyl group and a straight chain alkylene group having 4 or more carbon atoms, and water (C).
